The Pilgrims Rest
The Pilgrims Rest sits in the heart of the Kent countryside a few miles south of the City of Canterbury and only a short drive to the coastal towns of Whitstable, Broadstairs, Sandwich and Deal.
The Ferry ports of Dover and Ramsgate and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone are also easily accessible.
The Property itself was part of the Manor of Littlebourne and was used by the Steward to the Archbishop of Canterbury as a resting place when he came to survey the land and property that formed the Manor.
The oldest part of the property is formed from two buildings one early 17th century and one early 18th century. The original wooden construction is clearly shown internally by the wealth of exposed wall and ceiling beams.
The Pilgrims Rest now provides six en suite guest bedrooms, a comfortable guest lounge and bar area leading to the oldest part of the property which provides the perfect setting for a relaxing freshly prepared breakfast .
We can be found about four miles south of Canterbury on the A257 road to Sandwich, on the left hand side as you enter the village of Littlebourne.
Secure off road parking is available to the rear of the main building.
You will find The Pilgrims Rest is an ideal place to stay while visiting Canterbury and the Kent coast and remember the bus stops almost outside so leave your car and let the bus take you into the centre of Canterbury.
If you are on your way to holiday in Continental Europe we are also perfectly placed to break your journey. A nights bed and breakfast leaving you refreshed to continue the short journey to the Channel Ports or the Tunnel at Folkestone.
